Based on the first-level discipline of road and railway engineering inLiaoning province, the laboratory has set up 5 sub-laboratories including road, structure, geoengineering, surveying and materials, with a total area of nearly 2000 m2. There are 21 researchers, including 8 professors, 5 associate professors, 6 lecturers and 2 experimenters. Two of them are in "one million talents projectofLiaoning province, 2 in the "new century talents of the ministry of education", and 1 in the "young science and technology talents of the ministry of transport". At the same time, three foreign experts and professors are also invited to conduct joint graduate training and research projects. In addition to the regular teaching instruments and equipment, laboratory is equipped with wireless Bridges and structures, microcomputer control, high temperature rock triaxial test system rheometer, seabed environment loading system based model test, bending beam rheometer, dynamic shear rheometer, parallel computing structure analysis software, the dynamic signal acquisition system, multi-channel fiber optic grating demodulation devices, which can fully meet the requirements of professional teaching and scientific research.
The laboratory gives priority to the development needs of China's related transportation fields, solves the key technical problems of remote monitoring, health diagnosis and disaster prevention and mitigation in highway and bridge engineering, and studies the evolution mechanism and optimization design theory of the service life cycle of the transportation infrastructure. It has established a hazard identification and risk assessment system, development of new material transportation infrastructure for transportation infrastructure service performance in whole life cycle evolution mechanism study and optimization design theory. Over the years, it has undertaken 25 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, and the relevant scientific research results are fruitful. From 2015 to 2017, there were 57 papers published in domestic and international journals and high-level academic conferences, including 4 articles in SCI, 17 articles in EI, 5 monographs, 10 invention patents, 4 utility models, and 1 item of software copyrights; 4 provincial and ministerial level scientific research awards. A number of scientific research achievements have successfully been transformed, and are widely used in the construction of highways, bridges and tunnels. Furthermore, good social and economic benefits have been achieved in the development of national transportation projects.
