The transportation and logistics experimental teaching Lab, which involves “Transport Management Simulation Lab.”, “Logistics Management Lab.”, “Logistics Equipment and Technology Lab.”, “RFID Intelligent Container Yard Lab.”, and “Cluster Server Lab.”. The center is responsible for the experimental teaching of basic courses and major courses for three majors involving transportation (port operations and management, foreign trade transportation), transportation management, and logistics engineering.
“Logistics equipment and technology” and “RFID Intelligent container yard” laboratories are more hardware oriented and equipped with small-scale automated warehouses, mixed assembling lines, bar codes, RFID/EPC, AGVs, order picking system of electronic tag, RFID container yard management simulations and other logistics equipment. “Transportation management Lab”, “Logistics management Lab” and other laboratories oriented software, installed with more than 20 kinds of software including third-party integrated logistics simulation system, international logistics electronic document simulation system, transportation management and decision simulation system, Eviews, Lingo, Matlab, Mapinfo/TransCad , Flexsim, container yard operation software, bulk cargo port operation software, material equipment management software and so on.
The transportation and logistics experimental teaching center sets up more than ten courses such as logistics system simulation, cargo transportation and distribution, production and operation management, international containerization transportation, transportation system and spatial analysis, transport network optimization approaches, and international multimodal transport.
